Tiffin was the only entry amongst a host of schools that could have been a Who’s Who of prominent independent schools for miles around. There were 2 competitions, for 1st pairs and 2nd pairs respectively. With both pairs having beaten Epsom College, Reed’s, Christ’s Hospital and Charterhouse it was left to the final match against Winchester to decide overall 1st and 2nd place. Tiffin came agonisingly close to winning both, but can be heartily congratulated on deserved Runners-Up places in the two competitions.
