Over the Bank Holiday weekend, rowing was going full-tilt with crews rowing at both Chiswick Centenary Regatta and the National Sculling Regatta.

Chiswick Centenary Regatta

The J14 4x+ crew of Tom J, Ethan M, Antoni B, Vanya S and Will C won through in an intense 3-round knockout, over 1000m, easily beating Emanuel School and then RGS High Wycombe before holding their nerve to win by ½ over the much-favoured Sir William Borlase School. A great win, especially considering their lack of water time.

National Sculling Regatta

We fielded a number of crews senior crews at the NSR where all of the UK’s biggest schools race. 4 crews made it through the 2000m time trial stage to get 4 crews into the A or B finals.

And, if you wondered what Mr Williams was doing over the bank holiday, he was seen powering our J16 4x- of Jesper N, Vlad M, Vlad S and Lucas W down the Olympic course at Eton, helping them secure a silver in a magnificent race.  Well done to everyone involved!

We look forward to more rowing as the season hots up.
