Being physically active is great for our bodies and our minds. Exercise has been proven to reduce anxiety and depression, and it can help us to prevent physical illnesses. Mental Health UK’s research shows that 56% of people found that exercising regularly helped them to alleviate stress and prevent burnout in their lives. As teachers we recognise the importance of being mentally healthy in order to be in the best position to support our students. The school has been embracing mental health and movement week with assemblies in Year 7-10, a bake sale and movement activities. Staff have been out rowing, running and had a lovely stretch to start their morning briefing this week.
