Tiffin produced some quality athletes for the Kingston Borough team at the Surrey County championships held at a frozen Reigate Priory on Saturday 20th January.
The performance of the day was from the Year 7 contingent who are now all Surrey County Champions. Well done to Max Jones, Fredric Bolton, Adrian Cortesia and the unstoppable Dan Carter.
Thomas Whorton was in a very strong Kingston team which closed out 3rd in the top 8, unprecedented for Kingston . The team was a good 2nd overall; very creditable as the smallest borough in the county.
Surrey selection for three athletes is a great return from the squad and additional congratulations to Thomas Whorton, Max Jones and Atharv Pruthi.
Thomas looks a strong contender to double up his English schools vest from last year, holding a good claim to the second of 2 discretionary places. We hope a great result in the inter-counties match cements his position in the team . We also hope that last years Surrey Male Team Captain Connor Foley will return to the fold after a lay off due to illness
