Congratulations for our Cross Country runners who enjoyed fantastic success in the recent SE School Inter-Counties Cross Countries Championships. An unprecedented three Surrey vests have been gained – a fantastic achievement as to getting into the Surrey Team is one of the toughest selection processes of all counties in terms of both quality and quantity of opposition.
Atharv has gained a Surrey vest in the Senior race, pacing 8th in the Surrey Senior Boys First Team, who were 3rd overall in their section. Atharv has had another superb season and, with a continuing trajectory, he should make the full English Schools Surrey team next year, as he is a year young for the age group.
A special congratulations to Connor and Thomas who became the first athletes from Tiffin to represent Surrey in consecutive years. They did so by running superbly in their races, with Thomas being the 2nd Surrey athlete home in 12th position in the Junior section, and Connor was 4th overall and was also 2nd Surrey athlete home in the same section as Atharv. Both Thomas and Connor have been selected to run in the Surrey teams at the English Schools Cross Country Championship at Pontefract Racecourse on Saturday 16th March.
