Tiffin’s A team narrowly lost to RGS Guildford (3.5-2.5) in the Regional Final of the national Schools Chess Championship. The team will now compete in a repechage competition next term for a place in the National Finals in Nottingham.
The chess community felt the backlash from this disappointment in the final round of the National Online Schools Chess League. With all three Tiffin Teams playing together in room 37, the atmosphere was electric as Tiffin dominated the top of the leader board claiming 1st, 2nd and 4th place.
