Congratulations to Pranav who recently took part in the Bank of England Innovation Competition 2024, which aims to find creative students who are passionate about technology.
This year, UK students were asked to create a short video or a presentation outlining how the use of data and technology can help shape the Bank of England’s mission. The bank awarded the ten best entries nationally, with the prize being a paid summer internship and the opportunity to work within the data and technology teams of the bank; above is the video Pranav submitted.
His experience of the competition was one that taught him a lot and was the perfect opportunity to bring his interest in emerging technology, together with the real world impact it could have in the coming years. Pranav’s presentation was on the potential of Generative AI and Synthetic Data in helping the Bank of England regulate the UK economy.
The prize will allow Pranav to experience work in learning how innovative technologies are applied in practice and he is very much looking forward to working with the technology teams in the Bank of England this summer.
